he New Year brings us a new columnist, David
Pibworth is on page 52 (we added the GROG
campaign bit David...).
Recognition sometimes takes a while, so it was nice
to see that former members of the Women's Land
Army and Timber Corps were formally honoured at
the Territorial Army Centre at Bletchley last month,
they did a wonderful job, and deserve the
recognition that at last they have received.
It is just a shame that Milton Keynes Council again
does not recognise the usefulness of Weston
Underwood Post Office through the partnership
scheme, which it could sanction and enable the post
office there to continue one wonders why? The age
group that seems most affected by these closures are
the very ones that supported the country all those
years ago.
On a lighter note we have a success story on page 49
where John Parry shows that his loss is also his gain!
