F
ebruary brings us Valentine's Day, the 14th is the
day to remember! Flowers, a card, a meal out, a
present, a beauty treatment, gym membership are,
among other, the sort of thing I am reliably informed
each year, is the sort of thing one should be thinking
about. And perhaps on this, the 250th anniversary
of Robert Burns, a romantic recital of one of his
works while you are out might be in order!* Have a
look through the mag, there is plenty of local choice
inside for those of us who are still a stuck on what
gift to get.
With the credit crunch rumbling on we feature a
special report on our centre spread this month.
Advison have come up with a few good ideas and
are worth talking to. If you just want to get away
from it all for a few hours, and see .... get fit at the
same time, you could try the new Nordic Walking
Club (page 41)... and why not get kitted out at Good
Sports who have just opened in Newport Pagnell,
see them on page 65.
Returning to the subject of anniversaries we must
say congratulations to Bet on her 100th Birthday on
15th January, she celebrated with family and friends
at Bay House in Olney where she is a resident (page
37).
Ron Hall, Editor
*PS: If anyone does do something unusually
romantic write in and tell us!!! Box of chocs to the
one we choose I have just been told.
