Dear Editor
I have just read the November Phonebox. I had missed the previous
diatribe of Mr Bacchus on the evils of homosexuality. Is he aware that
some women are also homosexual?
During my military career I shared rooms with some females of that
persuasion! They did their share of the work. They had their
girlfriends and the straight girls had boyfriends.

Olney's long High Street is very beautiful (and my main reason for
moving here eight years ago) only marred, so far, by One Stop's
hideous shop-front, another painted in violent purple and yet another
in a garish shade of blue.
I have written to Olney Council expressing my concern and hope that
others will do so. It does lead me to wonder how much control the
council exerts over shop-front design and style. Precious little, I fear!
