Dear Editor
We keep reading in the Phonebox that the council are trying to solve
the problem of parking. May I suggest that a starting point would be
to stop both the local car sale rooms using the public highway for
their forecourts and in one particular case recently even had an
advertising board in the roadway. At times between them I have
counted 15-20 spaces being used with cars having price tickets on
them (I believe this is also illegal). There is also a lot of fuss about the
new Tesco wanting an hour a day for deliveries and yet this is allowed
to go on. Being disabled and not able to walk far I seldom use the
shops at the north end of the high street as parking is impossible.
Favouritism or what!

Dear Editor
After you kindly edited a short article about Olney Rugby Club on
page 66 of the November issue, with particular reference to the newly
purchased and transformed `Doffs Field'. Please can I re-iterate and
ask that all residents of Olney and the surrounding area refrain from
walking across the newly seeded grass. Thus allowing it to establish
and be enjoyed by future generations.
An enormous amount of time and effort has already been put into this
project and funds continue to be raised. Anyone interested in
contributing/fund raising for `Doffs field' should view
www.olneyrfc.co.uk for further details.
