Browns Hairdressing recently hosted their third Inter Salon Soiree
competition, to a full house with over 200 guests. All the Browns salons put
on their own show, competing for the 2008 Inter Salon Soiree Cup.
The evening was opened by the Market Harborough Youth Theatre, who
delighted the audience with several different dances. Then Browns Art
Team showcased their Autumn/Winter collection, showing what hair cuts
and styles will be coming out of Browns salon over the next few months.
Toni Perryman, Browns Director of Education also talked the audience
through our recent competition for 20, 30, 40, 50 & 60 years old and also
introduced the Trainees' show.
The Olney Salon went first with their show called `Identity'. They were
followed by last years winners Market Harborough who's performance was
`Effortless'. Stony Stratford's show followed with a completely different
theme ` Dark vs Light'.
The show was then ended with our Buckingham salon's show `Panic Of
The Disco'.
While the Judges were deciding on the winner of the competition, John
Gilding from Macmillan Cancer Relief talked about the importance of fund
raising events like this for the running of Macmillan Cancer and noted that
to date Browns have raised more then £20,000 for Macmillan Cancer which
is a great achievement.
The judges for the night were William Wilson Newly Appointed Head
of Technical and Creative Direction Goldwell UK; Barry Blanchard
immediate past worthy Master of the Guild of Hairdressing; Susan Nicol
from Paul Mitchell Consultant Diego Vazquez - National Accounts
Manager Tigi
International Ltd and
Robert Shipton
Director of
Education for John
Frieda. The judges
entered the stage to
announce the Stony
Stratford salon as
their winner. K
