S
ince 1972 Britain has decided to go with Greenwich
Mean Time in Winter and British Summer Time in
Summer. This gives us the opportunity to change our
clocks twice a year to herald in the winter, or for this
month, on the 29th March, to welcome Spring; a lively
time of year.
So the clocks go forward by an hour and we gain an
extra hour of daylight in the evening, but with things in
the garden looking very lively I think Double British
Summer Time may be more appropriate!
Yes, a busy time Spring and last month saw a lot of
events and all sorts of good causes sponsored
alongside them. We have details of many events inside
the mag and have put a sponsorship section on our
new forum on the website, so feel free to use it get your
message across.
The coming months bring us lots more events and
plenty to go and see and do, so have a look inside to
find out what's going on in the area.
Anyway, get out and about and support these
events . . . and don't forget to change those clocks!
Ron Hall, Editor
PS: We have a good `crop' of letters this month, lively is
one way you could describe them . . . it must be Spring!
