Owen Terry receives certificate for
Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award
Owen Terry, 19, was delighted to complete his Duke of Edinburgh
Gold Award recently. Owen is pictured here with his father, Ralph,
who is also a Gold Award holder. The two of them travelled down to
St. James's Palace for Owen to receive his certificate, with the Duke
of Edinburgh himself attending the Awards Ceremony.
Owen recommends taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award
scheme. He says, "Planning your own expeditions, helping with
community projects and undertaking physical activities are all very
worthwhile and the scheme is a great thing to do. I'm really glad I
took part."
