This national and international society meets locally in Newport Pagnell once a
month for illustrated lectures covering diverse subjects. Everyone is warmly
welcome. Coffee is served at 10.15, chairman's notices at 10.50 and the
lectures start at 11am prompt. Meetings are generally held in the Lovat Hall,
Newport Pagnell. 2009 has seen an exciting and stimulating inaugural year. The
website (above) gives further details and maps. The aim of the society is to
promote interest in the arts, heritage and culture.
Art, Architecture, Archaeology, Gardens, History and Heritage, Porcelain,
Miniatures plus many other topics are delivered by notable national lecturers
in some cases they are internationally acclaimed too.
Members go on lively visits to places of interest and, carrying out the aim of
the society, help in local areas of Church Recording and Heritage Volunteering.
